Red 1950s Vintage Tin Earrings
Random mismatched pair of red floral 1950s vintage earrings hand-cut from a "George W Horner" sweet tin in the rare red colourway (see other listing for the blue version)
(Please note - price is PER PAIR, the photo of 12 earrings is to show the variety and random nature of the item. You will not be getting 12 individual earrings. If you would like more than one pair, please adjust the quantity when ordering).
Design will vary depending on which bit of the tin I used, and the earrings will not match each other (although they will be from the same tin)
Mounted on 925 sterling silver earwires*
Each piece is carefully hand-cut and the edges sanded smooth before being gently tapped into an elegant curve.
Did you know that the traditional 10th wedding anniversary gift is tin? It's probably the kind of tin that used to be mined here in Cornwall, but I think these are much nicer!
Your earrings will be sent to you in a handmade gift envelope (design will vary depending on which nice wrapping paper caught my eye!)
Please bear in mind that my jewellery is made from preloved tins. This means that they've seen a bit of life, they may have scratches and dents, bumps and scrapes, some may have faded or discoloured a little, but they're all beautiful in their own way. I try to avoid damaged parts as far as possible, but I believe it's our experiences and our imperfections that shape our character, and I think that goes for beautiful recycled treasures too. I hope you agree x
*If you would prefer sterling silver studs or silver-plated clip-on fittings, please message when ordering
